This Vendor Privacy Addendum forms part of the main Privacy Policy of Anmol Ghar (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and applies specifically to vendors/sellers (“Vendor”, “Seller”, “you”) who register and sell products/services through the Platform.
This document explains:
- What vendor personal data we collect
- How we use and share it
- How vendors may access customer data
- Vendor obligations under DPDP Act, and applicable privacy laws
This policy should be read along with our:
1. Vendor Personal Data We Collect
When you register as a Vendor or use vendor features, we may collect:
A) Vendor Identity & Contact Data
- Name of owner / authorised signatory
- Business name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Business address
- Support contact details
B) Business Compliance Data
- GSTIN / PAN (India)
- Tax registration details
- Business documents uploaded for verification
- Bank account details for settlements
- KYC details where required by law or payment partners
C) Vendor Account & Platform Usage Data
- Login information
- Store details (store name, logo, description)
- Products listed, pricing, inventory
- Order and fulfilment performance
- Support tickets and communication logs
D) Technical Data
- IP address
- Browser/device details
- Cookies and tracking data (as described in the main Privacy Policy)
2. Why We Collect Vendor Data (Purposes)
We process vendor data for:
- Creating and managing your seller account
- Verifying your identity/business (fraud prevention & compliance)
- Enabling product listings and order fulfilment
- Settlements and payouts
- Vendor analytics and performance reporting
- Communication, notices, and dispute handling
- Legal compliance (tax, payment, audit, government requests)
3. Legal Basis for Processing Vendor Data
Under India’s DPDP Act, 2023 (and Rules)
We process vendor personal data based on:
- Consent, where required
- Performance of contract (to provide seller services)
- Compliance with law (tax, accounting, fraud prevention, payment regulations)
4. Vendor Access to Customer Personal Data
Because this is a multivendor marketplace, vendors will receive limited customer data only when required to fulfil orders.
Vendors may receive:
- Customer name
- Delivery address
- Phone number (where required for delivery)
- Order details (items, quantities, variants)
- Shipping instructions
- Communication messages from the customer
Important: Vendors do not receive customer payment information (card/UPI details). Payments are handled securely by payment gateways.
5. Vendor Responsibilities (Mandatory)
By selling on our Platform, you agree that you will:
A) Use Customer Data Only for Order Fulfilment
You may use customer personal data only for:
- Processing orders
- Packing and shipping
- Delivery coordination
- Handling returns/refunds
- Customer support related to the order
- Warranty and legal compliance (where applicable)
B) Do NOT Misuse Customer Data
You shall NOT:
- Add customers to marketing lists without consent
- Send promotional messages on WhatsApp/SMS/email or any other mode of communication
- Sell, rent, or share customer data
- Use customer data for any purpose unrelated to the order
C) Protect Customer Data
You shall:
- Keep customer data confidential
- Restrict access only to authorised staff
- Store customer data securely
- Not store customer data longer than required
D) Delete Customer Data When Not Needed
You shall delete customer personal data once:
- The order is delivered and return window is closed, OR
- It is no longer required for legal/tax purposes
6. Vendor Data Sharing by the Platform
We may share vendor personal data with:
- Payment partners (for settlements and KYC compliance)
- Logistics partners (pickup/return arrangements)
- Government/tax authorities if required
- Fraud prevention services
- Legal advisers/auditors where necessary
- Technology vendors (hosting, email, analytics) under confidentiality and security obligations
7. Data Retention (Vendors)
We retain vendor data for as long as:
- Your vendor account remains active
- Required to resolve disputes or enforce contracts
- Required by law (tax, accounting, audit)
Even after account closure, some records may be retained for compliance and legal reasons.
8. Cross-Border Transfers
Your personal data may be processed in India and/or other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Vendor Rights
Under DPDP Act (India)
You have the right to:
- Access information about your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent (where consent is the basis)
- Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Register a grievance with our Grievance Officer
10. Vendor Breach & Misuse Policy
If a vendor:
- misuses customer personal data,
- violates privacy laws, or
- fails to implement reasonable security practices,
we may take action including:
- warnings and temporary restrictions
- suspension or termination of vendor account
- reporting to authorities where required
- legal action and indemnity claims (as per Vendor Agreement)
